Finding the right flatmates
"This is something I wanted for a long time and I was delighted to be moving. I really liked the area. Since moving, I have two new housemates who I get on with very well. I live across the road from where my day supports are and around the corner from St. Pat's football club. I can head off to matches now so I am delighted. The local shop is nice for coffee"
We know the physical layout of a house, the other people living with you and the location can have a huge impact on a person’s quality of life. Andy recently moved to a house that works well for him on all three levels. The house layout means that there is ample space for hanging out with his friends and housemates. The people he lives with are similar in nature and interests. The location means Andy is not isolated in any way because he can easily walk to his day time supports services, to his favourite local football team’s home matches and to the local shops! The area also has great transport links for Andy’s other interests.
