WGSEL is an arm of WALK. At present is houses the Multi-Functional Community Resource Facility at Walkinstown Green. The objective of this Community Resource is to develop a facility that is inclusive, that helps to break down barriers and perceived stigmas of people with disabilities and to showcase the great ability they have.
At present it hosts a Community Coffee Shop, a Community Garden Centre, Meeting Rooms and a Training Room (available for hire). In addition, there is a Men's Shed workshop and a community radio hosted within the facility.Click here to learn more
Capital Assistance Scheme Funding enabled purchase of a residential property in Inchicore that provides supported accommodation for three adults. It also privately rents a property in Drimnagh where 1 person is supported to live independently.
WHA has also applied for funding for the development of 12 units for older person's in Rafter's Lane in Drimnagh. WHA continue negotiations with Dublin City Council in relation to funding for this project and are confident construction will begin this year.Click here to learn more
